We have secured funding through PHFA’s Smart Rehab Program to make some energy-saving improvements to the Dutch Kitchen, Green Meadow Apartments, and the Delphia House. Real Services was awarded the contracts for this work. Michael Walker and George Delgrande from Real Services are pictured installing insulation behind electrical outlets.

When we requested assistance in helping some of our tenants at the Delphia House to move furniture, etc. so the contractors would be able to get to the outlets, the Swingin’ Seniors who volunteer for York Habitat for Humanity, came to our rescue. Besides moving the furniture, they also installed a number of nurse’s call lights outside the residents’ apartments. The Swingin’ Seniors pictured installing one of the call light are Henry Eyster, Bob Depasqua, and Walter Lobodinsy.

** Other improvements made with the Smart Rehab funds included the installation of new aerators, new refrigerators, new boilers, etc.
