Steve Jacob

 

...is an associate professor of Sociology at York College of Pennsylvania.  Steve teaches courses in development and evaluation of human service programs, theory and policy for the human service professional, and the sociology of organizations.  He has been an active member of the Institute for Applied Social Research at York College.  The Institute conducts research, needs assessments, and evaluations for non-profits and governmental agencies throughout York County.  These research projects are supervised by faculty and conducted by York College students.  He also leads a team of faculty who organize poverty simulations for service providers in the community to sensitize residents to issues related to being poor.  In addition Steve is a past board member and elected officer of York County Cooperative Extension.  He has published extensively on well-being and has an active research program.
