Constance Brown-Scott
...is a nurse care
manager at Family First Health in the Social Services
Department. Connie has been involved in the field of
nursing for 30+ years, and has worked in emergency medicine,
long term care, and hospice. She is currently enrolled
in Eastern University, Harrisburg Campus, pursuing her
degree in Health Care Management. She was also the
first female recipient of the 2009 John Folby Award of
Excellence in the field of HIV/AIDS. Her passion in
serving people has been the catalyst for her continued work
in doing outreach in the alternative schools, group home for
pregnant girls, and work for both her church and job.
She views the work she does as a ministry, which is meeting
the basic needs of people, which are food, clothing and
shelter. One of her favorite mottos is, “Mediocrity is
unacceptable in the pursuit of Excellence,” author unknown.
Connie lives in the city of York and is raising her
granddaughter. She also has a daughter, granddaughter
and grandson, all who live in Harrisburg. Her desire
is to be able to bring fresh ideas and continue to be able
to serve those in need.
